Attention! Without activation, Safe`n`Sec will not work!

  • Product serial number is an alphanumeric code included into the Safe`n`Sec distribution kit.

  • Computer hardware code is a numeric code that is automatically generated by the activation utility based on your hardware configuration.

A detailed discussion of each step of Safe`n`Sec activation is provided below.

Attention! To activate the product, you should have an Internet connection! This is required to connect to the Safe`n`Sec Activation Server.

When you start the program for the first time, you will see the welcome dialog box of Safe`n`Sec activation (see Fig. 1).

Connect to the Activation Server and enter the Safe`n`Sec serial number and hardware code in the special fields. The hardware code will be provided if you select manual activation. Using the customer data (serial number and hardware code), the Activation Server will generate the activation number. Enter the activation number in the corresponding field in the activation dialog box.

If you select automatic activation, the activation utility will register your copy of the product on the Activation Server. How to know whether the program is running

When the program is running, the icon   is displayed in the system tray. This means that all applications running on your computer are controlled by Safe'n'Sec.

Important!
If you selected not to display the program’s icon in the system tray, nothing will visually indicate the program’s performance. To check whether the program is running, open the Management Console (Start->Programs->Safe`n`Sec) and see the Activity Control status in the Status section.

The program smoothly runs in background mode, not interrupting your work with other applications. Alerts from Safe`n`Sec are displayed only if you need to make a decision. For instance, the program displays an alert upon detection of an application whose activity is considered malicious.

As a rule, if the program is disabled, you will see a popup window above the icon. The Safe`n`Sec icon in the system tray also indicates the program status – a red cross appears when the application is disabled. Thus, you will always know for sure whether the program is running or not.
