Company historyS.N.Safe&Software was founded 2006 when the Proactive Computer Security department of StarForce, a leader in the field of digital content copyright protection software, decided to branch out.
2003
StarForce developers begin work on a new PC security solution envisioned as an alternative to classical antivirus software. The necessity for such a solution was dictated by the traditional software's apparent inability to deal with the new online threats and Internet crimes.
2004
The release of the first version of Safe`n`Sec® Personal aimed at protecting home PCs. The presentation of the new product at the Softool Expo in Russia.
2005
The presentation of the product at CeBIT 2005 in Germany. The Safe`n`Sec® Business suite was released by the end of the year – a version of the software aimed at networked workstations and providing a comprehensive security solution to small and medium-sized enterprises, with all the relevant corporate network needs accounted for.
2006
The presentation of the Safe`n`Sec® Enterprise solution for large enterprises at Softool Expo in Russia and Systems Expo in Munich, Germany. This version takes into account the specific requirements of large enterprise security systems with over 1000 networked machines.
Release of the special version of the software entitled Safe`n`Sec Timing – an application activity and user action control system for corporate networks. Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS) become a recognised security-oriented technology.
2007
The release of a new software product aimed at protecting home computers from online threats – Safe`n`Sec Pro. By the end of the year an updated business-oriented version of Safe`n`Sec Pro was released as Safe`n`Sec Enterprise Pro.
2008
The new version of the personal product Safe`n`Sec 2009 was released. This version uses the innovative V.I.P.O. (Valid Inside Permitted Operations) technology involving operating system profiling alongside a flexible system privilege control implementation.
Company's plans for the nearest future involve broadening the scope of technologies used in Safe`n`Sec security suites for extended functionality and capacity to withstand the most sophisticated security threats and prevent information leaks at every level.
