V.I.P.O. Technology

The V.I.P.O. (Valid Inside Permitted Operations) technology.

V.I.P.O. is the name of a state-of-the-art proprietary solution of S. N. Safe & Software based on a flexible system privilege class distinction approach and involves the following procedures:

• System scanning and profiling of every application in an operating system;
• Compilation of a trustworthy application list;
• The system functions in strict compliance with all the privilege specifications;
• Potentially harmful applications are prevented from execution;
• No new application can be executed without user authorisation.

The V.I.P.O. technology employes stable hashing algorithms and allows the user to control file and registry activity as well as to ensure system file and installed application integrity. The V.I.P.O. technology only permits the execution of applications that are known to be trustworthy a priori. No unidentified process can be spawned until the user specifies the level of trust to the application that tries to spawn the process in question. V.I.P.O. also controls and blocks unidentified executable modules from being launched, which permits to prevent the infection of the system via a security hole in a trusted application. There is also the option of switching off chosen process privileges with different user group access.
